Linux/AM3352: How to build DP83822 Linux Driver

Hello,

I'm considering using AM335x and DP83822 with Linux.

I see phy.c of Linux driver for DP83822 in website and also find it in PSDK3. Then, when building with tisdk_am335x-evm_defconfig, phy.o is generated. I think I can use them in PSDK as it is.

Could you tell me how I should build DP83822 Linux Driver? Do I need to change configration file, dts file or something? Please give me some advice.

Hi Kazu,
I am referring to latest TISDK04.00.00.01. If you look at drivers/net/phy/dp83848.c & search for DP83822, you'll see that the driver supports it.
So you need to enable the driver in your defconfig file, by adding:
CONFIG_DP83848_PHY=y
Then rebuild your kernel.

Thank you for quick reply. I can find the description of DP83822 in dp83848.c of PSDK4. I can't find it in PSDK3. I'll use latest PSDK.
