AM3352: UDP throughput issue

Hello,

We encountered an UDP throughput issue between AM3352BZCZ30 and AM3352BZCZA100.

From the throughput report below, we found the TCP throughput result is almost the same, but the UDP throughput result is much worse on AM3352BZCZ30.

The CPU load average on AM3352BZCZA100 is around 0.83, 0.66, 0.49, but that on AM3352BZCZ30 is around 2.63, 1.49, 0.95,

We can not find any official report related to UDP throughput and AM3352 CPU frequency.

Could TI please give official comments about this result ? Is it as expected ?

What Linux version are you using? Please refer to processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_Linux_Kernel_Performance_Guide to compare your 1GHz results.

Hello Biser,

We installed "ti-processor-sdk-linux-am335x-evm-01.00.00.03-Linux-x86-Install.bin" for our project. Linux version is "Linux am335x-evm 3.14.43-g875c69b ". Actually, the throughput report is for TI WL1831 (R8.6SP1 WiFi driver). The Link you provided seems no relative information about WiFi throughput tested with AM3352BZCZ30 and AM3352BZCZA100. Is the MMC bus performance of AM3352BZCZ30 and AM3352BZCZA100 the same ?

Well, you didn't specify that this was WiFi throughput in your initial post. No, the wiki link is for wired Ethernet throughput. We don't have data about WiFi throughput. You can ask on the WiLink forum: e2e.ti.com/.../307 Their experts can provide more information. From MMC point of view all AM335x devices are identical.
