TMDSLCDK6748: How To Measure C6748 Current Consumption on the Dev Kit

I'm a firmware only person, not analog at all. I have the TMDSLCDK6748 dev kit and I need to measure the current draw of the processor. Is there someplace on the board I can do this easily?

Hi,

You can measure the current consumption of the board on the 5V power jack.

Yes, that will get the current for the whole board, but I need the current draw of the processor so I can evaluate if it will work in our custom board. The dev kit has a bunch of stuff on it that we will not use.

For SOC power estimation please use the power consumption spreadsheet that we provide which is based on power char work that we have done on this device.

If you wish to measure current on the board, you can use JP2, JP3 and JP4 on the board. Refer the the Schematic companion table here:
