Linux/AM3358: U-boot issue

Hi,

We're currently bringing up a custom board and are having some issues with flash U -boot-spl to EEPROM ( EEPROM clear and not ID). You can see log file below. Please help me flash u-boot to RAM.

U-Boot SPL 2014.07-00023-g3364b18-dirty (Jul 22 2014 - 13:57:54)
Incorrect magic number (0xffffffff) in EEPROM
Could not get board ID.
Incorrect magic number (0xffffffff) in EEPROM

Hi,

You can disable the board ID check, see:
e2e.ti.com/.../297989
e2e.ti.com/.../385956

u-boot has migrated to newer version since these threads, but you should be able to dig in the code to remove the sections that check for board ID.

Hi,

From this log it seems that you have a blank EEPROM on your board.
You need either to program the correct data in the EEPROM (see here for details: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM335x_General_Purpose_EVM_HW_User_Guide, or hardcode the EEPROM checks in your SPL/U-boot code.

we fixed bug u-boot. But Now we are step by step base on link below:
"github.com/.../BBBlfs"
But We can't mount EMCC to Linux PC.
Note : +On beaglebone black eMMC P/N: "MTFC4GACAAAM-1M WT".
+On My custom board eMMC P/N:"MTFC4GACAJCN-1M WT".
Please help me resolve issue.
