Looks like this post slipped through the cracks and was not responded in a timely fashion, sorry for that.

AM18x belongs to the same family as OMAPL138.
SDHC is supported SDXC is not supported

On the later post on throughput query,

I do not know if for the latest Processor SDK with latest kernels we collect/post any MMC/SD throughput data , will check on that.


However you may find the following very old post useful/relevant

The post has some concepts but also includes links to old SDK/PSP releases that have some throughput data on OMAPL138 , that should help with the ball park on what read/write throughput to expect.
