Linux/AM3357: Differences between device versions

Part Number: AM3357
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3359

Tool/software: Linux

Hello,

We are using the TI AM3357 processor for our board. I found that AM335x Evaluation board is SGX Neon version (AM335X ES2.1 (sgx neon)) and it is running 996.14 MIPS and our  custom board is Neon version (AM335X ES2.1 (neon)) and it is running 597.60.

1) We are facing difficulties in waking Ethernet interface like, when the kernel is totally compiled and comes to the console, if we do ifconfig we get the eth0 interface up. But it will not ping with the connected device. But if we do "ifconfig eth0 down" and then "ifconfig eth0 up" we will get the ping, is it because of the above difference?

2) We are not getting the SDIO interface up in our custom board, does the above mentioned difference causes the effect in waking up of SDIO interface?

We have difference only in DDR, apart from that we have everything same. We are using TI SDK 3.03.00.04.

Regards

Sachin
