TMS320C6657: SPI NOR Flash for C6657

Part Number: TMS320C6657

We are using C6657 DSP in our design and using SPI NOR flash N25Q032A11ESE40G from Micron. We have started ordering parts but found that this NOR flash is out of stock. Now we are planning to use W25Q32FWSSIG from Winbond. Please let me know if I can go ahead with this.

Hi Jithin,
We have not used the W25Q32FWSSIG with the C6657 previously but I don't see any hardware reason why it would be incompatible. You will have to review the configuration of the SPI interface and the driver. These may need to be modified to operate with the Winbond part.
