problem connecting to DM6467 EVM from Linux host over USB/serial interface

Hi,

Just purchased the EVM and trying to get it setup for some exciting product prototyping. but got a roadblock on the step to connect to the board using serial.

I connected through minicom, but when I boot, the EVM did some steps and then got into a mode where it perpertually keeps waiting for hearing back from my host. I am going through the USB port to a RS232 adapter to the board.

any alternatives ?

any help appreciated,

I am not sure what you mean by this, what is it waiting for? Do you get to a command prompt in minicom? Perhaps a dump of your serial terminal output would help clear things up.

Thank you for your response.

I was able to make it work after trying a few things. It turned out there was not a good connection to the ethernet port.
