Dear Team,
Is there any schedule to release EtherCAT MDP?
Is there any limitation to implement EtherCAT MDP on AMIC110 PRU?
Thanks and Best Regards,
SI.

Hi Sung-IL,
EtherCAT MDP is a application layer feature already in SSC from Beckhoff and there is no dependence in PRU firmware on AMIC110. Please refer to the following document from Beckhoff.
Application Note ET9300 (EtherCAT Slave Stack Code)
13.3 PDO mapping and SM assign objects
The PDO mapping and SyncManager assign objects are generated automatically according the Modular Device Profile (MDP), as defined in ETG.5001-1 (Since ETG.5003 Semiconductor Device Profile uses the MDP structure, the tool also generated the objects for such object dictionaries).
Document: ETG.5001.1 S (D) V0.9.0
Modular Device Profile
Part 1: General MDP Device Model
1.1 General
The Modular Device Profile (MDP) defines a modeling of structures within in a device. Mainly the object dictionary structure and corresponding behaviour of the entries is defined by the MDP. The intention is to provide an easy way for master and configuration tools to handle the devices.
A modular structure can be used for all kind of devices that supports physical or logical modules. This can be for example:
• Multi Axis servo drives (physical modules) with each axis having independent operation modes (logic modules)
• Extendable bus coupler with an internal backbone (e.g. sliced I/Os)
• Gateways from Fieldbusses to EtherCAT
