AM3354: USB2.0 role adaptation of a host or peripheral

Hi,

I have a question about AM335x USB_ID pin and USBnMODE register bit[7] to make me sure.

In AM335x TRM(spruh73p) page.2564 "16.2.7 USB Controller Host and Device Operation",
it said as follow:
*********************************************************************************
When using the s/w option, the USB ID pin state is ignored/bypassed (this is a similar configuration where
an ID pin does not exist) and the USB2.0 controller role adaptation of a host or peripheral (device) is
dependent upon the state of the respective USB Mode Register IDDIG field.
*********************************************************************************

From above description, I understand as that if I use s/w option for selecting host or peripheral,
I don't need to care the USB_ID pin and this pin can be left unconnected. Is it correct?

best regards,
g.f.
