Hello,
I chose to work with 66AK2H14 for image processing ,the part need SRIO IP for interfacing to FPGA . SRIO IP costs quite a bit about ~25K$ !!!
Did TI have any alternative?
Did TI have propriety for this kind of IP?
Thanks

Hi!
I guess, your understanding is correct: on 66AK side you already have SRIO IP provided by TI, but on peer FPGA side you'll need that's FPGA specific IP Core from its vendor. I haven't heard TI was offering IP cores for FPGA's, so I'm afraid your only route is toward FPGA vendor.
Described was a primary reason why my group decided for PCIe. Further development proved, we did not really understand, what kind of difficulties we about to face. Getting it up in about a month, we spent another half year developing DMA engine, without which PIO transfers shown extremely low speed (45MBps on write, 2MBps on read, Gen1, x1). If we had a chance to try SRIO and find no such underwater rocks, perhaps I could convince my manager to buy SRIO IP Core.
