Hi Experts,

1) We believe that there is internal memory at Ether side.
Could you please let us know the size of memory of it?

2) We would like to know the throughput from Ether to DDR and from Ether to Shared memory (MSM) with PacketDMA control.

It is related to the e2e.
e2e.ti.com/.../627020

"Assuming one of the SGMII port is under the DOS attacked, the packerDMA maybe jammed, it also affects the other SGMII port."

The transfer rate is approx. 10GByte/s is expected.
We think that the packetDMA might not be jammed if it throughput is faster than 1Gbps.

Could you please clarify it?

Hi,

Please check training.ti.com/.../keystone-network-coprocessor-slides.pdf, the QMSS has 8192 queues. The pktDMA moves the incoming Ethernet packet into buffers either in DSP memory. The buffer placement in MSMC or DDR should have the similar throughput, as the bandwidth is more than 1Gbps. Using Linux or SYSRTOS, you expect to see the throughput about 900 Mbps.

Under DOS attack, if the incoming stream is 10GB/s, that is 80 Gbps. I think the queue will jam although we didn't experiment this.
