Dm6437 EVM.. Ehternet Problems

Hi

 

I just bought the Davinci DM6437 EVM board and am trying to run the demo. It is  building successfully.

I had to change the ip to "static" as i am using a cross cable and connecting directly from the board to PC.

The Network symbol on PC shows that the network is connected. but when I run the "run.bat" in hostapp  it fails to connect to the board and throws a timeout exception.

I checked most of the other posts realted the ethernet issues , but could not solve my problem. I have also disabled the windows firewall.

Can any one tell me how to get around this  ?

    The same problem here with a EVMDM648,

    (i'm using win7 64bit)

    I had the same problems, but I resolved changing GEL file, downloaded from http://c6000.spectrumdigital.com/evmdm6437/reve/files/evmdm6437.gel

    Hi all,

     I am using TMS320DM6437 DVDP  and  I try to make it work by using the getting started guide I followed the instructions and when i try to run the demo with the pc host

    application, I run the run.bat file this error appear : could not locate any DM6437EVM demo-running targets on the network.

     In CCS I am getting Like this

     i changed the old gel file to new one  as per this link. http://c6000.spectrumdigital.com/evmdm6437/reve/files/evmdm6437.gel.

    still i am getting same error .could not locate any DM6437EVM demo-running targets on the network.

    Acctuall what is this problem how to solve this problem .what changes i have to do.

    Hi badri patro,

    I am not familiar with this demo.  Do you know, is it supposed to print out an IP address once obtained?  Or is it using a static IP address?

    If you are able to get an IP address, can you try pinging the board?
