TMS320DM368: Unable to get u-boot prompt.

I am using DVSDK software which I have downloaded


	dvsdk_dm368-evm_4_02_00_06_setuplinux	TMS320DM368 DVSDK 4.02 Installer

from http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/dvsdk/DVSDK_4_00/4_02_00_06/index_FDS.html

on ubuntu 10.04

and my board is TMS320DM368 EVM.

I followed the quick start guide and software development guide . I was still not able to get the u-boot prompt.

Kindly suggest .

Hi Asmita,

Can you elaborate on the steps followed :
1. What is your bootmode ?
1. Did you make sure boot switch is correct for the specified boot-mode ?

At first I tried SD Boot mode with SW4 settings as per user guide and while running ./setup.sh , I accepted all default except kernal and file system location as SD Card.. minicom terminal opened but no u-boot prompt.

Then I tried with nand flash with switch setting as per user guide. And while running ./setup .sh , I accepted all the defaults . But again no u-boot prompt.
I then tried with UART Boot mode with switch settings as per user guide. Through serial flash utility using
sf_DM36x.exe -nandflash UBL_DM36x.bin u-boot .bin
But again no outcome
Please help out

If you have taken care of the steps, then have you made sure terminal settings the UART cable are fine ?

Do you have a prebuilt Image or TI shipped SD card to boot with ?

Yes I did the terminal settings correctly but still no result.

TI had shipped SD Card. We then tried as per quick start guide and TMS320DM368 Software development guide. Minicom terminal had opened but not u-boot prompt.
