Hello TI,

we are using DRA742 model with Android 8.0 up and running by following 6AO.1.0 Engineering Drop instructions. We wanted to integrate the rear view camera to target device.

what will be the suggest/supported rear view camera for J6EVM5777G-03-00-00.

Please provide details on which rear view camera solution are you planning to integrate.

Is it TI's Robust rear view solution?
or regular Android camera HAL based solution?

Or is it a HW question on which Camera sensor is compatible to J6EVM5777G-03-00-00.??

what would be the suggest camera device to integrate to J6EVM5777X.

Hi Madhu,

If you are looking for integrating the camera module into Android's camera application, we support TVP5158 sensor by default.
You will need a patch for camera app to work with 6AO.1.0 eng release, and also if you want to connect OV106xx sensor.

As mentioned by Sunita, we support the TVP5158 sensor by default on Android. If you want to use another sensor such as the OV1063x sensors then you can reference this patch here to see what the conflicts with changing the sensors are. I would recommend that instead of taking that patch directly, you edit the default values in V4lCameraAdapter/V4LCapabilities.cpp like we did in this patch.
