RTOS/TMS320C6748: eMMC support with PSP drivers

Part Number: TMS320C6748

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

We have an existing product that uses the PSP drivers 3.0.1.00 to run an SDCard with FATFS. we were thinking of switching to an eMMC chip and we were wondering if the drivers supported an eMMC chip and if so what modifications to any of the driver API calls/system variables do we have to make to support the chip. thank you.

  • Hi,

I've notified the RTOS team. Their feedback will be posted here.

  • apparently not. your lack of response indicates that you have no support so we passed on this hardware design.

thank you for your timely response to my inquiry. I feel very appreciated as a customer.
  • Michael,

We are currently supporting only Processor SDK software for these devices. We understand that this is a mature device and there is long legacy of software that was available for these devices but our support is limited to software that we are currently actively maintaining and developing. The PSP software that you are using is legacy software that is provided to be used "as is" for existing users and for new developers who may want to use it for reference.

We had reached out to some developers who may be aware of this software package but have have not heard back from them. support for older software is challenging given limited resources. Sorry for the delay in the response.

    Regards,
    Rahul
