Hello everybody ,

please about i920 ( VOUT1, VOUT2 and VOUT3 are only supported at 1.8V and not at 3.3V.... ) on errata on AM5718 some questions :

1- this is an issue on AM5728 ?

2- I have a buffer between the AM5718 and the LCD : I think it is mandatory to have 1.8V the same VOUT1 ? am I right ?

3- is it correct to set pins VDDSHV11_x a VDD_1V8 to have LCD VOUT1 @ 1.8V ?

Hi,

1. There is a similar Errata for AM572x. See i901 in the AM572x Errata document.
2. Yes.
3. On AM571x devices VOUT1 is on VDDSHV2, not on VDDSHV11.

Dear Mr Biser. Thanks for the answer. On the errata of AM5728 it is mentioned the VOUT3. What about VOUT1. It is still affected by the same problem?
If we still decide to supply the VOUT1 with 1.8V in order to mantain the compatibility for both AM5728 and AM5718, it is correct to connect the VDDSHV11_1 K8 and VDDSHV11_2 J8 pins to VDD_1V8 supply coming from the comapanion chip SMPS8 of the AM5728 EVALUATION BOARD?

I do not understand what has VDDSHV11 to do with VOUT1? VOUT1 pins are powered from VDDSHV2.

Yes, you can. See Note 6 below Figure 5-1 in the AM572x Datasheet SR2.0 Rev. C:
"If any of the vddshv[1-7,9-11] rails (not including vddshv8) are used as 1.8V only, then these rails can be combined with vdds18v."
