CCS setup

Hi,

Based on:

http://wiki.davincidsp.com/images/a/a5/ArmETBv2.pdf

and

http://www.tiexpressdsp.com/index.php/ETB

I purchased an Blackhawk USB560m emulator, and am now trying to set it up.

After I select the Blackhawk USB560m - DM6446 Emulator in CCS sestup, I have only the ARM and DSP processors.  So I have been trying to figure out how to get the ETB as well.  If I try to add the ETB11 from the create board page, I get the following error: The board can only support one processor with this type.

If I remove the arm and add the ETB11, I get an error of: TMS470RX is not supported.  Please re-install Code composer or select a different driver.

At this point I am confused. :)

Can someone  tell me what I am missing or doing wrong?

Thanks!

Mike

  • It appears that you cannot properly edit the Icepick configuration to add another subpath, so to do this you would have to remove the Icepick and than add a new Icepick that has three subpaths configured for port 0x10, 0x11, and 0x12 to hit all three targets, the ARM9, the ETB, and the C64x+ DSP. Additionally after doing this you probably want to add back the GEL files for the ARM and DSP.

I tried this out and generated the attached CCS setup export file, which you should be able to import for your USB560m, as luck may have it I use an XDS560m as well so I was even able to test this out, at least to the extent that I can connect up to the ETB, I have not actually tried any tracing.
