Hi there,

I have recently purchased a IDK EVM + LCD kit and I have difficulty getting the setup running with Linux. Below is the screen shot showing the boot up. I would appreciate if snyone could advise what is going on wrong?

Hi KengHoe,

Do you try to boot from MMC/SD card? If yes, do you configure the sysboot switches for MMS/SD boot?

You can also try to create bootable MMC/SD card with the create-sdcard.sh script available in the latest AM57x PSDK:

software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

Hi Pavel,

Yes I am trying to boot from SD card and I did not configure the sysboot switches.

Perhaps please ignore the Linux boot up instead I am having difficulty boot up even with the original RTOS SDK image.

Before booting up with Linux I was using the RTOS SDK from the original Out-of-the-box microSD card. As it was fresh OOB, I followed https://training.ti.com/am57x-idk-lcd-bringup

It seems like an OOB failure as I cannot bring up the kit + LCD. The only thing that is running is the RTOS SDK diagnostic. I have tried to connect it to HDMI but no video out on my monitor.

Hi KengHoe,

In your initial post you are stating that you have issues to boot Linux on the AM571x IDK board. Now you switch to RTOS boot.

Please open new e2e thread regarding RTOS boot and use this thread for Linux boot related questions (if any).

If you have no more Linux boot related questions, please close/resolve/verify this thread.
