RTOS: Does demo application in BIOS version of Vision SDK work on TDA2x with HDMI input?

We are trying to execute the BIOS demo application on TDA2x platform which comes with Vision SDK. Here we want to use HDMI feed as input so we make appropriate setting by using setting option but we don't get anything on Display. We also use HDMI out to display on the screen which works fine as we've varified with "Null Source" use case.

So we would like to know HDMI does work with BIOS version of Vision SDK?

Hi Vikash,

did you followed the steps in VisionSDK_UserGuide_TDA2xx.pdf chapter "2.3.2 Capture Pin Settings"
to set the Video Config pins?

Did you followed the steps in the chapter "3.7.1 Single channel demos with HDMI input"?

Yes, we have followed section "2.3.2 Capture Pin Settings" for HDMI input, the deviation what we are seeing here that document says about revision C but we have revision D board. Would it need to make some different settings?
As far as "3.7.1 Single channel demos with HDMI input" section is concerned we are not using mentioned stream first we are checking with simple usecase of capture and display.

Hi Vikash,
only 1920x1080 resolution @60fps video source is supported with VSDK.
before starting thsi you do the EDID programing for 1080p resolution, this is documented in vision_sdk\docs\userguides\VisionSDK_UserGuide_TDA2xx.pdf
section 2.3.4 EDID Programming for HDMI Capture.

We are using DVD player to feed HDMI data in, it;s not giving anything in output, so definitely it would not be giving 1920x1080 resolution @60fps. Could you please suggest any other source to feed the HDMI with this resolution and frame rate?

We got our HDMI problem solved, it was the source problem.
