66AK2G02: Getting started with example for K2G EVM

In the SDK folder I found "prebuilt-sdcards" and "demos" and nothing called "App".  However, in CCS I selected "Import" and pointed it at the SDK folder and it found two CCS projects, K2G_bf and K2G_bf_rt.  Neither one builds but immediately gives an error:

Buildfile generation error occurred..
Product 'ti.mas.aer.c55l_cpuv3.3' v17.0.0 is not currently installed and no compatible version is available. Please install this product or a compatible version.
Build stopped..

I have no special need to build these particular apps, I'm just looking for a sample that builds and runs on the target. 

BTW, the next problem that I expect to have after this one is that the XDS200 is not recognized on my PC and I'm wondering if there is a USB driver that I am supposed to download and install for it.  This is the same PC that I have been using for other TI platform development.

Hi Roger,

In which path are you looking. The path in the sdk is: ~/ti/processor_sdk_rtos_k2g_4_01_00_06/prebuilt-images.  Inside the prebuilt-images folder there is the app example (the basic one supplied with the SDK).  There shouldn't be a prebuilt-sdcards folder...

The only difference is that I have a \ti directory for my CCS version 6 work, and this is names \ti7 for CCS version 7 which is what I'm using now.

I downloaded the SDK again and got the same set of directories as before without the prebuilt-images directory. This link indicates that I should have the set that you stated above:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_RTOS_Directory_Structure

But it's not what I get when I download it from here:
software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

and select

K2G RTOS SDK Essentials
ti-processor-sdk-rtos-k2g-evm-04.01.00.06-Windows-x86-Install.exe K2G RTOS SDK installer for Windows Host 866460K

It does not have the directory.

Also, you can do a board diagnostics:

You can also build and run RTOS driver examples:

These look like good things to try, but first I want to do a bare metal Hello World. So I followed the instructions in
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Processor_SDK_Bare_Metal_Examples
and was able to create a project and a target configuration. It almost seems to work, but I now have two things that may be preventing me from actually running properly.

First, when I compile I get an error stating
warning: cannot find entry symbol Entry; defaulting to 0c000000
but it allows me to run the project which goes through all the motions and appears to be running but you cannot set a break point or step, etc.

Second, when I view the instructions (link provided above) it states that I need to manually add the lds file and "startup_ARMCA15.S under the file path ccsvX/ccs_base/arm/include". The lds file is already in my project (I am running CCS v7). but the .S file does not exist in the directory that they mention.

I think it's very close to working, possibly if I fix these issues.
