MPEG2 ENCODE DM6467

Looked, but could not find MPEG2 Encoding codec released for DM6467.

I see it is available for DM365, but wonder if it is released for DM6467, as I'm looking to do multiple channels and the DM6467 seems more geared towards that application. I also like the dedicated transport stream outputs on the 6467.

I'm guessing they are available third party, but probably at $$.

Any idea if or when these will be available?

We currently do not have MPEG2 Encoder on DM6467 as can be seen from http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/dm6467codecs.html and there are no plans to develop it.

However, there might be pure C64x+ implementations of MPEG2 Encoder that can be used on DM6467. You can probably check out - http://www.go-dsp.com/forms/TIDigitalMediaSWCM/index.htm and see if it meets your requirements and if you can use this on DM6467

Anirban/Chris,

Ittiam has developed the MPEG2 Encoder on DM6467 using the Hdvicp. You can check with Ittiam about the $$.
