I have a task to migrate an embedded software application from ATMEL AVR32 to a Freewave radio unit that has a board with a TI AM33x chip, providing a mini Linux Debian environment for other 3-rd party applications to be loaded and run on the same board. The software I need to migrate is a complex automation and control software running on Linux RTOS. The idea is to have both radio and a control application on the same board in a combo. Has anyone done this before, is it feasible for two such apps to co-exist and contend for resources like uart, on the same board using TI AM33x microprocessor with Linux stack?Also, I intend to use Code Composer Studio v.7.3.0 with Sitara AM33x Processor SDK Linux for libraries in order to do the hand-shake with the periferals. For testing and debugging I intend to get the BeagleBone Black development kit. Do you suggest other libraries and/or dev board? Your input is very much appreciated. Best regards, LN.
