Hi,

I'm trying to get started with the PRU ICSS Profinet IRT.

I succesfully created the project according the instructions found here http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/PRU_ICSS_Profinet

But when I want to build the created project I get the following gmake Errors:

gmake: *** [all] Error 2 profinet_slave_IRT_AM335x_arm
gmake[1]: *** [profinet_slave_IRT_AM335x_arm.out] Error 1 profinet_slave_IRT_AM335x_arm
recipe for target 'all' failed makefile /profinet_slave_IRT_AM335x_arm/AM335x_release line 201
recipe for target 'profinet_slave_IRT_AM335x_arm.out' failed makefile /profinet_slave_IRT_AM335x_arm/AM335x_release line 205

I am using the following components:

ICE_AM3359

CCS Version: 7.3.0.00019

PROCESSOR-SDK-RTOS-AM335X 04_01_00_06

I will appreciate your feedback.

Hello,
Which host OS are you building on? If you are on Linux, please provide the Linux distro (ex. Ubuntu 16.04 LTS).

Looking at some of the documentation, it is not clear what the exact dependencies are in regards to the various versions of the packages. I will move this thread to the Sitara forum where the experts there can ensure you have the right dependencies.

Julian,

As noted in the wiki, the Profinet build uses the PROCESSOR-SDK-RTOS 03_03_00, rather than 4.1.

The PRSDK 3.3 is available from software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

Hi Garrett,

Thanks, with the correct SDK version it builds just fine.

Maybe consider updating the link on the wiki page, in order to bring you directly to the SDK version 03_03_00.

From: www.ti.com/.../ti-rtos-proc
brings you to the most recent version with which it does not build.

To: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html
brings you directly to the correct SDK version mentioned in the wiki.
