TDA3: Block Noise on Surround_View:TDA3

Part Number: TDA3

Hi, Everyone

I customized vision_sdk usecase 'lvds_vip_tda3x' to match my cameras(BT656-480i).
However, when I executed it, block noise is partially caused in surround_view image by frame.
And, there are frames where normal frames and noise occur.
And, there is a difference in the size of the noise, but the place where noise occurs is the same.
Please teach the causes of this noise and how to fix it.
Please Note I use the new table data(GAlignLUT,) related to surround_view usecase made by surroundview_tools in vision_sdk.
The vision_sdk version I use is 'vision_sdk_02_12_01_00'.

Best Regards,
Tetsuya
  • Hi Tetsuya,

I have forwarded your question to an expert.

  • Hi Tetsuya,

Sorry for the late response. Can you please attach an picture of the noise that you are seeing?

It would good idea to dump the images received, before they are sent to synthesis in DSP.

    Regards, Sujith

  • Hi Yordan

    Sorry for the response.

    Thank you for responding.

  • Hi Sujith

    Thank you for the response.

I attach the pictures of the block noise.

And then, I tried some of the surrundview calibration by changing parameters such as output resolution.

There was also a difference in log at command prompt after running SurroundView.exe of calibration_tool.

    If the log indicate

      Maximu DMA block size (overlapping):

      DMAvermax:256 Dmahormax:384

      Maximu DMA block size (overall):

      DMAvermax:256 Dmahormax:384

the block noise occured on the image.

    If the log indicate

DMAvermax: less than 256 (for example 96, 128, etc.)

DMAvermax: less than 384 (for example 336, etc.)

the block noise did not occured on the image.

Does this log indication have a relationship to do with block noise?

    Regards,

    Tetsuya

  • Hi Tetsuya,

Is this issue resolved? This corruption seems more like out-of-bound access.

    Regards, Sujith

  • Hi Sujith

    Thank you for the response.

This issue has not resolved in radically.

But I was able to prevent block noise from occurring due to adjust the parameters of the tool.

    Tetsuya
