TMDSICE3359: SERCOS III Master support

Hi all,

I am about to start evaluating the TMDSICE3359 board for SERCOS III comms as a Master. I did find an earlier reference stating that this wasn't supported: e2e.ti.com/.../452499.

Can I confirm if this might now be supported please? If not, what are the limiting factors for firmware support?

Hi Will, Currently we don't have a Sercos III Master ready to be used. However, we are working on implementing Sercos III Softmaster. It is scheduled by 1Q 2018.

On the other hand, you can implement your own Sercos III master, I don't see any firmware limitation

That's good, let me know if you have any pre-release candidates available for early testing. Will the SERCOS master implementation be on the PRUs or CPU?

Hi Will, it is implemented on PRU-ICSS. Regretfully, we currently don't have any pre-release that we can share with you.
