RTOS/AM4379: SPI flash performance issue in MLO

Hi TI-Team,

My board is based on Starterware/AM4379, boot from SPI Flash, but we found it takes at least 6s to copy the APP image from SPI Flash to DDR in MLO, if we do the same copy in APP, it only takes about 1s.

So how can we improve the speed in MLO?

There are two way to increase the speed of booting.
1. Increase the speed of the boot interface.
2. Optimize the size of the boot image that is loaded by the boot loader.

Here is another thread where a customer faced similar delay in booting and it was resolved by preventing the Heap from loading. Please refer to the link
