TCI6630K2L: Can 6630K2L work as 1588 master

Part Number: TCI6630K2L

Hi Experts,

My customer is using the TCI6630K2L, they want to use one TCI6630K2L board as 1588 master to provide clock for other  boards. As 1588 master it should be able to recognize the packet type such as SYNC, REQ, DELAY_REQ, PDELAY_REQ, RESP packet, then add timestamp at the specific position for client.

I checked the relative document but not found details about it, would u pls help check if TCI6630K2L can support the above feature, and how to implement it?

Thank u very much.

BR,

Andy

  • Anyone can help me confirm the question? The customer want to know if K2L can be 1588 master, if it can add timestamp to the transmit packet automatically when the packet is transmitted out?
In my opinion K2L GE can generate timestamp for the packet is transmitted out, but the timestamp is just for K2L self-use, it is not added to the packet and sent out together, right?
Look forward to your reply, thanks.
