720P resolution simultaneous encoding and decoding support

Hi,

Whether DM365 is capable of simultaneous encoding and decoding of 720P H.264/MPEG video in a realtime scenario?
If yes, any supports are available in latest DVSDK?

If no, whether DM368 is capable of that?

Hi,

DM365 cannot do H.264 720P encode+decode.

But DM368 can do 720P encode and decode for H.264. However, the decoder would be closed loop decoder.

Hi tvs,

The decoder indeed supports 720P universal, but the performance may not reach upto 720P@30fps encode + decode for all the streams.

Since the performance of universal decoder varies quite a lot, can you tell us whcih type of stream do you expect to be decoded ?

DM365 cannot do 720P@30 Mpeg4 encode and decode. If you are looking for closed loop decoder, then DM368 (432Mhz) should just be able to do it using MJCP codec. If you are looking for universal decode(capacity to decode streams from any source), then DM368 also cannot do full duplex mpeg4 720P.

Thank you very much for the information. We have the board for the DM368, but we were hoping to be able to use the DM365 as a less expensive alternative.
