Is FSYNC always required with AIF?

Hi,

I will be using AIF for communicating with FPGA(through Fiber,point-point communication ) for bulk data transfer.Please let me know ,FrameSync is required in that case?

It depends on your implementation, but in every case I'm aware of, the frame sync module is needed to create all the synchronization events that drive the EDMA and DSP cores for moving data in and out of the AIF peripheral buffers. Please see the Frame Sync User's Guide http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/sprug13.
