RTOS/AM5728: Memory issue

Hi all

I ran a BIOS application on AM5728 DSP1. and it out of memory.

So I modified BIOS.heapSize within my .cfg file. I write the size so large that it overflow. Then I changed it back to the original number.

But it can't work anymore.The error show as follow (the code is within linker.cmd that created by CCS):

How do I fix this error? I just modified a number and then change it back.

Hi,

Changinig the BIOS.heapSize back and force in .cfg should not cause such problem, can you try to clean and re-built the project?

Hi,Eric

I changed the BIOS.heapsize and built the project.Then it reported such problem.I have tried to change it back ,delete the debug folder and rebuild .but errors don't disappear.Any other operation could save this project?

And could you tell me how to modify DPS memory,because I need more memory, and specify where the heap-size,stack-size etc locate.

Hi,

For heap and stack, please use setting syntax as below in .cfg:
Program.stack = 0x10000;
BIOS.heapSize = 0xA0000;

Even your build failed, a map file should still be generated. You can look into .map file to understand each section size in EXT_RAM, and start/end address and why the build failed.

Hi all
These errors are caused by cache setting.
I don't know clearly about this issue.I solve it with correcting the cache size in Edit platform page.
