Hi all

It is me,again.

Just one simple question.

I want to know how much time my routine cost.but time.h seems not work when I debug my program to dsp and run via CCS.

what method could help?

Hi,

It looks that you want to check DSP time spend, simply:

extern volatile unsigned int cregister TSCL;

In the code:
TSCL = 1; //enable it once

t1 = TSCL;
your code here
t2 = TSCL;

time spend = t2- t1; (TSCL is 32-bit counter, it may overflow; you can use 64-bit counter TSCH + TSCL if you want). The unit is CPU cycle. If your DSP runs at 600MHz, 1 cycle = 1.667 ns.

ok,in the code ,we should add "c6x.h".but with no this file ,ccs didn't report an error.

Hi,

Add <c6x.h> or not doesn't matter. As long as you wrote TSCL = 1 or anything, it starts to count, you can see the counter incremental in the CCS register view. This can be used in debug mode or release mode.

I have tried again.without this header file. CCS will report an error that identifier "TSCL" is undefined when building the project.And it can be solved by adding "c6x.h".
