AM5716: PCIe clock input

Hi,

In the schematic checklist it is mention that DC blocking capacitors are needed on the PCIe clock inputs. I also found in the forum that the PCIe clock is HCSL compatible. To my knowledge HCSL clocks do not need DC decoupling caps. What am I missing here?

Hello Meysam,

If using a HCSL clock source, no external caps are required on the AM57xx PCIe REFCLK input.
If using a LVDS clock source, external caps are required on AM57xx PCIe REFCLK input.

We will work to clarify this in the schematic checklist.
