I was wondering if there is any example code that shows how the OMAPL138 interfaces with the Power Controller on the SOM via the I2C0 interface. The Gel files for the OMAPL138 don't even seem to reference I2C0 (i.e. it's not even specifically turned on with the rest of the peripherals). Specifically I'm trying to lower the core voltage on the power controller without using PWRM (in other words, statically and not dynamically). If you know of any examples that do this sort of activity, I would greatly appreciate it.

The boot-strap source code included in the Linux PSP SDK package configures the PMIC on the SOM through I2C: http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/psp/LinuxPSP/DaVinci_03_20/index.html

Thank you for your quick response. I have that on my PC and have been searching through it. There are a lot of folders for different types of boards in there. A search for i2c gives me 102 results but I'm not sure I'm findng the OMPAL138 specific code. Does that go by a different name in this hierarchy?

First, I had to uncompress this file: \DaVinci-PSP-SDK-03.20.00.12\src\boot-strap\armubl-03.20.00.12.tar.gz

Then within that directory, I find the code here: \armubl-03.20.00.12\src\i2c.c

The function is called from the files here: \armubl-03.20.00.12\src\omapl1x8\

Alternatively, if you have DSP/BIOS 5.41.x installed (or you dowload the latest BIOS5.4x), you should find examples/sample code under

\bios_5_41_03_17\packages\ti\pmi\src\pmi

Ahhh, yes, Mukul swoops in at the last minute to get the points for the answer. I don't feel too bad since he's behind on Genius points anyway. ;-)
