c6727B obviously has no native NDK offering given it does not have the EMAC peripheral etc.

I guess the closest from the device family would be c674x devices.

What software base is your customer on - CCS versions, BIOS versions - perhaps that will further dictate which device NDK to use as reference.

I will forward this to a few colleagues to see if they have any additional suggestion based on experience.

Since the C6727B has a particular version of DSP/BIOS in ROM, that is the ideal version of BIOS that they will use. And it would make sense to use CCS3.3 for it for historical support of the C6727B. But if another version of CCS or BIOS/RTOS would work better, they are open to that.

The intent is to communicate with a standard Network Interface Card NIC through an FPGA using one of the serial communication ports on the C6727B. If it would be reasonable and 'easy' to port a subset of our NDK to the C6727B to do this, the customer will do that.

Does it seem reasonable?
