Linux/DRA725: LCD dormant

Hi Yordan,

i find the weston only use to set display time, it use test.

weston --tty=1 --backend=drm-backend.so --idle-time=0,

it display drm-backend.so, but close the progress,the time is nothing.

i hope It's still there when it's not shown.

1. Your question title says DRA72. In the body of the message, you say "dra74x-evm". Can you please clarify whether you are using DRA72 or DRA74?

2. What is the device tree file you are using?

3. What are displays connected to the board when the issue happens? Do you have both LCD and HDMI connected?

I am not able to reproduce the issue with the setup you described.

1. In the standard SDK, the system boots weston and does not get to the "Please wait" message.
2. If Weston is not enabled, it simple shows the virtual terminal.
3. I am seeing the "Please wait" message on screen only when GPU kernel module is not loaded and weston is launched.

In all 3 cases, I do not see the screen blanking.

Can you please provide exact steps to replicate this issue starting from an SDK release ?
