Linux: PMU unit access on Panda Board

Hi,

I have Panda board which has Ubuntu 11.04, GNU/Linux 2.6.38-1208-omap4 armv7l.

When I try to access PMU, I am getting an error of Illegal instruction.

Is there any way that I can enable PMU and get access to PMU registers.
