AM3358: Reading TSC/ADC inputs

Hi,

the touchscreen controller of AM3358 comes with six analogue inputs but there are only two Fifos available, where the sampled analogue values are written to.

So how can I read data from more than two analogue inputs? What is the trick with these two Fifos?

Basically you can choose in which FIFO to store the data by programming the FIFO_select bit in the STEPCONFIGx register. The Step_ID_tag bit in the CTRL register allows you to store the Step ID number together with the captured ADC data in the FIFO.

OK, seems I dod not get the point...at the moment I configure e.g.
- step 1 for AN4 to use FIFO 0
- step 2 for AN5 to use FIFO 1
And what to do with the remaining analogue inputs? At this point I run out of available FIFOs...

You can store multiple steps in the same FIFO. What you need to do to distinguish samples is to configure the Step_ID_tag bit in the CTRL register. This will store the Step ID number together with the captured ADC data in the FIFO.
