GSG C6748: Installing the SDK Software

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138

sorry if this is the wrong forum but I could not find a forum to match the question

http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG_C6748:_Installing_the_SDK_Software

On this page is the statement,

Since this is the "Getting Started Guide" I expected the software to be easy to find.  But...I cannot find any of the files listed.  Where is the download for each of the files on this page?

Also, what versions of what does any of this apply to?  Yes, you can "infer" from the file name, but it is not at all obvious.

Finally, does any of it apply to CCS4 or DSP/BIOS 6?

  • Have you followed the steps in the kit's Read Me 1st Card yet? It has instructions on finding your Activation ID and details on getting the software.

Most of the software is available at www.ti.com/omapl138c6748sw but the DSP/BIOS USB Stack is on the myRegistered Software page.

  • Actually, this is more of a general question.  I stumbled onto this wiki which seems to imply that I need more software.  But does not give enough information to make that decision.  Now I am completely confused about what software and tools that I need.

Sorry but any Read Me 1st Card is gone (your link goes to 404 - File or directory not found.). The OMAP-L138/C6748 was bought by purchasing and originally registered to someone else.  I don't know what I need.  I've already installed a bunch of stuff that conflicted or was unnecessary (which only becomes evident after exhaustive reading and experimentation).  Now I want to know why I need to install it.  Then I find a page like the wiki or your page of links and it only gets worse.  Here are a bunch of names and links with no idea what they do or what to install.  I take that back.  The first link on the OMAP-L138-C6748 SDK page contains a description of each installer package.  Now I get to compare it to the wiki...

    Thanks.

  • Sorry the forum software decided to modify that Read Me 1st link when I pasted it from the wiki. The correct link is here:

The software referenced in the wiki can all be found here:
