CCS/DRA745: Debug failure for M4 processor j6evm

Hi,

I am trying to run the EMAC_pkTInspectionExample_evmDRA75x_m4ExampleProject on the j6evm5777 development board.
When I try to debug the program ccs7 i get such a message:

(Error -1266 @ 0x0)
Device held in reset. Take the device out of reset, and retry the operation.

I run the debug using the target config of project EMAC_pkTInspectionExample_evmDRA75x_armExampleProject, which runs correctly.
The problem is with a correct gel file. Currently I use the DRA7xx_cortexm4_startup.gel. THis file could be wrong or some other gel file resets this processor.

Hi Pawel,

To bring IPU1 out of reset you need to run IPU1SSClkEnable_API from DRA7xx_multicore_reset.gel script on Cortex A15. Menu item is DRA7xx MULTICORE Initialization -> IPU1SSClkEnable_API.

I t helped but I managed to do it only once.
In most cases I get such an error when trying to run this script:

IPU1SSClkEnable_API() cannot be evaluated.
Could not write 0x4AE06510: execution state prevented access
at *((unsigned int *) ((cpu_num==1) ? (((0x4AE00000+0x6000)+0x500)+0x10) : (((0x4AE00000+0x6000)+0x700)+0x210)))=(unsigned int) 0x7 [DRA7xx_multicore_reset.gel:12]
at IPUSSClkEnable(1) [DRA7xx_multicore_reset.gel:311]
at IPU1SSClkEnable_API()

Can you do a power on reset and then run the script. Do let me know if you face issues with this.

Hi Pawel,

This is strange. What is the boot mode setting on your board?
Can you run this script before running any other code and check if it works.

I run the debug without any code, and than the script succeed to load.
