AM3703: DDR memory replacement

Hi,

Please advise,

The Sitara processor we currently using is AM3703CBP100. This component is POP and we using Micron LPDDR one the top.

We want to replace LPDDR to regular DDR with minimum design changes. What kind of DDR can we use? Can we use Sitara AM3703 CUS package instead of CBP (we using now)?

I know this, but here only LPDDR mentioned and I prefer to use regular DDR. Can you check if this Sitara can work with regular DDR?

No, the device supports only low-power double-data-rate SDRAM (LPDDR1).

Hi ,

The processor we used in original design is AM3703CBP100 and PMIC TPS65950A2ZXN.

The frequency we set to the system is 1Ghz. The operating system is Linux.

We noticed the our design is not stable. The issue was sometimes some our systems stuck with "Kernel panic" log.

Then we checked our design again and founded PMIC TPS65950A2ZXN can't work with 1Ghz.

To validate this we reduce the frequency to 800Mhz and stuck issue solved.

We asked TI for 20 samples of PMIC TPS65950A3ZXN that intended to work with 1Ghz and apply on 2 systems.

Unfortunately the stuck issue not solved with new PMIC TPS65950A3ZXN using 1Ghz.

Please advise!
