AM3354: CPSW issues

Hi,

I use the startware demo with lwip-1.4.0 to test ethernet communication.I just ping the AM3354 target board for a while,and I will see ping time out.Then I see the registers of CPSW_CPDMA,,the SOP,ownership,& EOP bits are set and the CPDMA_TX0_HDP register is the right value, the TX_EN bit is set , but the transmitting is not happened. How to fix the question?

LWIP has not been supported for quite some time and is no longer part of the AM335x Processor SDK. Instead, please use the NIMU NDK examples located in the PDK at C:\ti\pdk_am335x_1_0_8\packages\MyExampleProjects

The SDK can be downloaded from http://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/AM335X/latest/index_FDS.html

The MyExampleProjects directory where these examples reside doesnt exist by default. Please see the documentation here to create these examples by running the relevant .bat scripts.

Hi Lali,
Could you tell me in which case the CPSW will stop sending, even if the cpdma registers are all set correctly. Our project is based on ucos & Lwip and run well at Stm32 platform. This is a transplant work, I have no choise but to use the lwip driver.

Does ping work for a while and then timeout? Or ping always fails? And is the AM3354 target board your own custom board?
What does the CPSW STATS look like? How do you determine it's the Tx rather than Rx issue?

The AM3354 target board is our own custom board. The Ping can work well for a while and then timeout. I count the Tx & Rx Interrupts,when Ping fails,the Rx counter can count as normal. And then I pause the debugger, check the cpdma register , could see the SOP,ownership & EOP bits are set and the EOQ is cleared and the CPDMA_TX0_HDP register is the right value, the TX_EN bit is set , but the transmitting has not happened. For example, the target board should send 100 packets, cpswif_transmit has been called 100 times, but the Good Tx Frames register's value in CPSW_STATS is 99. The last packet has not been sent.

Hi Ivan,

Can you dump the CPSW registers and upload here? Is the problem limited to your application? Are you able to run the NIMU example as Lali explained on your board?
