AM4376: I/O pin maximum current

In AM4376 datasheet DC Electrical Characteristics chapter, "All other LVCMOS pins (VDDSHVx = 1.8 V; x=1-11) "session, it mentions that when Ioh = 6 mA, min of Voh = VDDSHVx - 0.45, what is the exact meaning Ioh, max current? If it is max current, when use it as <6mA, for example, 4mA, dose it mean min of Voh should also decrease as V/R = I

The external connected LED, current input range is 4 mA~6mA, how to handle this case?

This means that when you source 6mA from the pin the output high voltage will decrease to VDDSHVx - 0.45V. Obviously if you source less current, the output high voltage will be higher and closer to VDDSHVx.

Hi Biser,

Thanks for info. Why less output current make higher voltage? As you know, V= I*R, if current output is less, then the output voltage should be less too. Maybe my understanding is not right. Please correct me. Thanks!

Your formula is correct, however you miss the fact that R here is the internal resistance of the I/O cell, and V is the voltage drop inside the I/O cell from VDDSHVx to output voltage. Therefore the actual output voltage is higher when the current is lower.
