AM3358: Super capacitor

please note we are making a custom board just same as Beagle bone black

i Need to have a super capacitor of 1F on Beaglebone black board(our custom board) so that if the main power supply Fails it will generate an interrupt to the CPU then the super capacitor can supply power to the target board for around 1 Minute. which is sufficient to do necessary clean up procedure.

i Need the schematics for the bellow

do you have any schematics to connect super capacitor of 1F or 2F to BBB if main power Fails
also the schematics to generate Interrupt if main power supply fails

Hi,

I very much doubt that a supercap will be able to provide enough current to keep the board alive for 1 minute after power failure. I suggest you use the Power Estimation Tool to check your power requirements: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../AM335x_Power_Estimation_Tool In any case we don't have schematics for this use case. I would suggest you design a circuit that gives early brownout warning from the highest voltage you have on your system. Another thing that can help is to use a journaling filesystem, like Ext4.
