TMDX5535EZDSP: is the kit the right choice?

Part Number: TMDX5535EZDSP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C6748, 66AK2G02, OMAP-L138

Hi!

I'm teaching DSP courses at Aahus University, School of Engineering, DK. In one course, I'd like to introduce real-time DSP on an embedded target for sample-by-sample processing. Earlier, I've used the TMDX5535EZDSP kit, and what I'd like to ask is whether that is still the best choice for a simple-to-started-with fixed-point DSP kit. I like the "C5000 TEaching ROM" with examples, and also the book by Kuo et. al.: "Real-Time Digital Signal Processing" from Wiley.

We'll only use the kit for a few small exercises, but I'll have to buy 20 or 30 kits to lend to the students.

Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Kristian Lomholdt
