Part Number: AM3354
We are interfacing a micro SD card to this processor and are experiencing an unusual number of SD card failures. The SD card holds the Linux kernel and filesystem along with our application software. The SD card failures usually take the form of bad sectors or various corruptions of the filesystem or partition table. These failures tend to happen after the unit has been in operation at the customer site for a period of weeks or months. The SD card is a SanDisk 16 gb version which we are using in 2 other products (one using an NXP processor and the other using an Atmel SAM processor) with a near zero failure rate for both. OTOH, the failure rate for the SD cards in the Sitara system is approaching 4%.
