We used Cadence Design Entry CIS v16.6 (ORCAD Capture CIS) for schematic capture and Cadence Allegro v16.6.

What type of simulation are you planning to do?

8.4 Power Distribution Network Implementation Guidance
The Sitara Processor Power Distribution Networks: Implementation and Analysis (SPRAC76) available
from www.ti.com/.../sprac76 provides guidance for successful implementation of the power
distribution network. This includes PCB stackup guidance as well as guidance for optimizing the selection
and placement of the decoupling capacitors. TI supports only designs that follow the board design
guidelines contained in the application report.

Below is the guidance for high-speed layout. Previously I posted the guidance for the power distribution network guidance. We do not provide simulation support as this is too time consuming and most customers do not have the tools and expertise needed.

8.3 High Speed Differential Signal Routing Guidance

The High-Speed Interface Layout Guidelines Application Report (SPRAAR7) available from

www.ti.com/.../spraar7 provides guidance for successful routing of the high speed differential

signals. This includes PCB stackup and materials guidance as well as routing skew, length and spacing

limits. TI supports only designs that follow the board design guidelines contained in the application report.

Internal simulations were conducted using models and tools that are not available to customers. All PCB models were created using a true 3D modeling tool - Apache PSI and others.

The guidance provided in the referenced documents above provide the support method that we have available.

Because we want to simulate the signal and power integrity of our AM5728 core board PCB, we always want to know what software is used to simulate IDK and EVM boards. Is the simulation tool you use secrecy? I don't know if it can be simulated with candence

As stated above, the referenced documents are provided to help customers generate a successful AM5728 design. This is the only support we have in place for customers. Simulation of the EVM and IDK was performed using the Apache PSI tool as well as internal proprietary tools and models. The results were used to generate the documents referenced earlier in the thread. We cannot provide information on internal simulations and we do not provide support for customer simulations.
