This design includes following key hardware components and 3D cloud point is generated in this platform.
• Light source: projected from a DLP LCR4500 projector module
• Camera: Point Grey® 1.3 MP industrial camera, FL3-U3-13S2C or FL3-U3-13Y3M
• Processor: AM572x application processor EVM module
• Display (optional): a standard HDMI monitor driven directly from the AM5728 EVM
I think this might be a good start point for us to develop embedded 3D vision system.
Phase 2 design(partly DSP acceleration) benchmark data is listed below, where
1. 36 patterns are projected and captured
2. The resolution of captured image is 1280x1024
3. Finally one set of 3D point cloud is generated
4. Total cycle time is 1.7s~2s with part DSP acceleration)
A few questions:
1. Is TI now working on the phase 3 development(full DSP acceleration)?
2. What’s the benchmark data?
