TDA2EXEVM: AVB talker with usecase

Hello All,

I wanted run to AVB talker with AVB RX + display usecase.

I have gone through AVB User Guide and followed the steps mentioned.

I have set the static IP for both board and PC and same I have configured in the avbtp_talker.sh

Setup connection is As follows :

PC ---> media converter --> board

When I run the avb talker and usecase, I can't see any output on display. avb talker log attached.

Please suggest me if I have missed any configuration.

Kirti,

You are not setting "test-duration" parameter for script hence it is taken as default 60 second.
Can you please try setting it to higher value explicitly by "--test-duration 10000"?

Hello Prasad,

I even tried it by setting the test duration of 300 sec(5 min) but still I will try with duration 10000 sec.

But I think test duration doesn't matter.

Hello Kirti,

Ok, i thought you are missing frames due to test duration.

Just to confirm frames are sent correctly, can you please open wireshark and capture avb talker output?
Also confirm the AVB parameters set in talker like stream id are as per set in listener application.

Hello Prasad,

I have checked output of avb talker on wireshark, frames are sent correctly. Even I have matched the stream ids mentioned in AVB _talker and AVB usecase.

Just for checking I tried the same on TDA2xx EVM with AVB -> decode -> display usecase in VSDK 3.2.
With this setup, I can see only grpx output on HDMI display and no video is displayed.

Am I missing any configuration in usecase side ?

Hello Kirti,

I strongly suspect issue to be in streams or AVB talker configuration.

How are you generating new resolution streams?

I suggest you try default configuration of VSDK AVB use case (1280x720 and H264) first, make sure it works.

Then change resolution keeping encoding format same, if it too works, then change it to MJPEG.
