Linux/AM4378: PMIC I2C bus

Part Number: AM4378
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65218

Tool/software: Linux

We have an AM4378 processor powered by a TPS65218 power management IC.  When the TPS65218 power management IC is on the I2C0 bus everything works fine and we can boot into our linux kernel, however if we move the TPS65218 power management IC to the I2C1 bus or remove it from I2C entirely, then the processor never boots into our linux kernel and seems to get locked up.

Is it required to have the TPS65218 power management IC connected to the I2C0 bus of the AM4378 processor in order for it to operate properly?
